STARTING OVER
A new approach to blogging.
Probably said this a million times and failed again after publishing three new Blogposts. I could write a long post now, starting with the lamest phrase of the season ‚quarantine gave me a lot of time to think‘ and how I melted into a puddle of toxic self-pity, because holy hell after almost 2,5 month of basically being a workless Freelancer, I did.
Instead I’m currently crawling out of this dark & muddy place to tell you, this Blog is up und running again, Baby. This time with already a handful of posts ready to be published, because hey, I had all the time in the world. The motivation behind it?
Well I simply realized that during all these years, no matter how true I stayed to myself (and you know I did), I still mostly created content with one thought in the back of my mind ‚is this going to perform well?‘. And goddman am I mad at myself for doing this.
My personality is so far away from pleasing people, because I’m not perfect, I’m messy and I love being messy. I find my very own definition of perfection in it. I’m simply a creative person, my whole being is based on it. And it’s a quality that I will treasure until the end of all days, because it gives me the possibility to find something beautiful in the simplest things. And now we still ended up with a dramatic essay. Told you. Messy.

So what now?
It’s safe to say, that this blog isn’t a Fashionblog anymore. The thought of getting all dressed up simply for a photo to post is haunting me. I’m still going to share my Looks, but more in the moment and I’m sorry, but they probably will be Vintage.
Things will be a bit different here. I want to create a place where you find inspiration.
And recipes to my phenomenal baking masterpieces (it‘s a fact), interesting books and movies, beautiful places, my approach to everything feelgood and of course music. Or simply posts filled with aesthetically pleasing photos, because I find joy in these things.
And I hope you do to.
Let’s embrace some messiness.
ONE MORE THINGS
I started my second business LISA FIEGE CREATIVE right at the beginning of March. And like everyone else I had now idea that only a few days later shit would completely hit the fan.
With companies trying to cut costs at all ends and saving budgets for ‚more stable times‘, it was quite a tough & frustrating start for a creative freelance business. After months of work and pouring all my heart and soul into this Business, it was simply a demotivating experience and I know that there are a lot of Business owners out there who feel the same. Please remember that THIS WON’T LAST FOREVER.
